The 10'8 Ride is superb at anything you throw at it, equally at home on rivers, lakes, and oceans. By adding two extra inches in length and 2 extra inches in width compared to the 10'6 Ride, the 10'8 Ride is extra stable.  This makes it a great choice for families, doubling up with a child or pet, the occasional whitewater, or for those novice paddlers new to the sport.
