Red Paddle Co 2017 Range - Overview and First Thoughts

Red Paddle Co just announced their 2017 board range! As in previous years Red Paddle is innovating, refining, and expanding their range with new boards and new innovations. Here's our thoughts: Quick Summary 5 new boards: 11'3" Sport, 10'7" Ride Windsup, 10'7" Windsurf, 14' Ride L and the 22' Dragon. Minor graphic changes on the Ride family, Explorer family, kids Snapper, Flow and Activ and major graphic changes on the Sport family, Race family and Whip Innovations such as standard Ram mounts for attaching GoPro's and other attachments, Forward Flex Control (FFC) on the Race boards and a new FCS fin system for the Sport, Explorer and Whip boards. Unleash the Dragon - Red Paddle Co 2017 Red Dragon SUP

Red Paddle Co just announced their newest board to their 2017 SUP fleet. The 22' Dragon. This 4 person race SUP was designed with one purpose in mind, competitive SUP team racing. Just like traditional Dragon Boats, this 22' long, 34" wide, and 8" thick race SUP holds 4 people inline standing up.   What better way to kick things off then by hosting the inaugural Dragon World Series. We are proud to introduce a new line of SUP Paddles by Black Project.  Black Project shares the same passion and ethos as Red River Paddle, so we feel this is going to be a great addition to our product line up. Founded in 2010, they set out to design a better fin for windsurfing and SUP.  Since then, their brand have grown steadily thanks to exceptional designs. Red Paddle Co 2016 Lineup - First Thoughts

  This post is for 2016 Red Paddle Co.Many of these features/technologies are still used in today's boards. But go here to check out 2017 Red Paddle Co in depth review. What's New? MSL Fusion All 2016 Red Paddle boards will get a groundbreaking new tech: MSL.  MSL stands for Monocoque Structural Laminate and is an improved manufacturing process that fuses the second layer of hard-wearing polymer to the drop-stitch core. You can see the breakdown on the image to right. What are the benefits? Because this process reduces manual hand-gluing, there are less errors/defects and less glue, which saves about 2kg (up to five pounds) in weight compared to previous models! This makes Red Paddle boards lighter, stronger, cleaner cosmetically, and easier to roll up....

Red Paddle’s 2015 Line Up

The 2015 line has been redesigned, culminating in a great looking and striking look. Color options have been streamlined, with emphasis on categorizing boards by usage. For 2015, Red Paddle Co has 12 models for surfing, touring and racing, ranging in size from 9’2 to 14’0.
